Weldon Earl Peek of Pittsburg was born on May 23, 1943, in Camp County to Melvin Peek and Mary Elizabeth Kizer Peek and passed away at UT Health in Pittsburg on March 31, 2024.
He graduated Pittsburg High School and was a retired electrician at Lone Star Steel. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg. Several of his pastimes included fishing, hunting, and bowling. Weldon also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, whether it be at squirrel camp, family gatherings, or any time those that enjoyed music gathered together. Weldon was an avid sports fan and rooted for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers; but it was his grandchildren that took priority when it came to the sports they played. He followed them no matter what sport they played or where the game was held.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jones Peek of Pittsburg; daughter, Robin Peek Reynolds and her husband Mike of Pittsburg; son, Rafe Green and his wife Tammy of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Tyler Reynolds, Sydney Reynolds, and McKenzie Calame; and great grandchildren, Ruth, Mia and Miley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mary Peek; brothers, Louis Peek, George Peek, Clyde Peek, and Horace Peek; and sister, Dorothy Brandon.
